Lynne Christie
Lynne is fully trained to Advanced level in Ballet, Tap and Modern. She loves to dance anywhere and everywhere and sometimes even cajoles her daughters Maria and Jessica into joining in! Lynne studied dance locally and has also taken on training in New York at Broadway Dance Centre and Steps on Broadway to ensure she is up to date with current dance trends. In demand as a choreographer and dance teacher, Lynne choreographed We Will Rock You at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Martin Christie
Martin’s main passion is Musical Theatre after seeing Starlight Express when he was 17. Having gained a BA (Hons) in Theatre Arts from Rose Bruford College, Martin then went on to be a theatre director with many productions under his belt including West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rent , Beauty and the Beast and We Will Rock You at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Husband to Lynne and Dad to Maria and Jessica, he also loves football and music. Martin looks after the theatre and drama classes and ensures that the content is modern, the classes are fun and the teaching is of the highest quality. Melanie Russell
Mel trained at Bird College in Kent, receiving a Diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre. An expert in the ISTD curriculum, Mel is a favourite among our pupils – indeed Martin and Lynne’s daughters are very excited to be taught by ‘Miss Mel’. Experienced in teaching all dance disciplines, Mel is fantastic at working with all age groups. We are delighted to welcome Mel back after a short break to have her own little ballerina – Grace.
Lauren Carey
Lauren is a former pupil who moved to London to train at London Studio Centre where she graduated with a BA (Hons) in Theatre Dance. Whilst in London she had the opportunity to dance in a variety of shows including The One Show and in the London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony. Lauren has studied Ballet, Tap and Modern to an Advanced level, and is currently working towards achieving her ISTD teacher’s qualifications. We are absolutely delighted to have Lauren on board, she is fantastic with our pupils and joy to work with.
Laurin Campbell
Laurin is currently training to be a primary school teacher having previously graduated with a degree in Dance and a degree in Law!! Laurin was previously a pupil at Alloway Performing Arts and is Lynne’s ‘right hand man’ with the running and direction of the company moving forward. Apart from teaching an awesome Lyrical/Commercial class on a Friday, we are indebted to Laurin for all her help behind the scenes.
Ross McFarlane
Ross is our Drama teacher and also takes our Musical Theatre Juniors class. A very experienced practitioner of all Arts related disciplines, Ross is a very valuable member of our staff who the pupils absolutely adore.
